She wakes up, fills her coffee cup
She looks outside to see the sun rise
And she knows where to go
She knows what to follow
And every breath that she takes
Is gonna get her there tomorrow
She’s on her way
She knows what to say, she’ll get it right
She’s taking her time, everything’s fine
She will be alright
She’s alright
One more road and another light
Fifteen hundred miles and she’ll be there tonight
She knew she wasn’t happy
Right before she said she needed space
Only the worst would happen
If she never tried to make a change
She’s on her way
She knows what to say, she’ll get it right
She’s taking her time, everything’s fine
She will be alright
She’s alright
Tthe day is gone the weight is off her shoulders
No one holds her down anymore
All that’s left is right ahead
It’s better off this way
And she knows where to go
She knows what to follow
And every breath that she takes
Is gonna get her there tomorrow

I think it's difficult to write songs about something other than romantic love, and still be able to communicate the intensity with which those feelings can hit a person. Some of the entries on this album are fantastic examples of this niche. dani_bloop
I just started listening to this album today and am IN LOVE! Every track is perfect.
I'm slightly sad I didn't start listening to boygenius until but happy to be a fan of their music <3 lissie_a

Julien Baker is an acquired taste - assuming of course you’ve acquired great taste in singer songwriters… beautiful, devastating, honest, insightful… I’ve not heard a single song of hers that hasn’t left me in absolute awe. crisbroadhurst
