In the beginning of COVID lockdown, I read a story about a husband and wife who were in separate rooms of a hospital and died hours apart. Alone with no family. It affected me severely, and the only way I could justify the sadness and the unfortunate situation was to think that maybe they would see one another on the other side. On a beach somewhere beautiful. Death is a very uncomfortable topic for me, as it is for most people. I like imagining that when we fade from this earthly life, we go somewhere amazing. Like a house party. Or a beach in this case :)
lyrics
I’m feeling tired and I’m ready to go
My bones are aching and I’m starting to slow
But they don’t know
They don’t know
They don’t know me
This world is mad and it’s out of my hands
I try to hold on but I don’t understand
Why they don’t know
They don’t know
They don’t know me
You can just dream
Go where you want to
I’ll come and meet you one day
Wait by the sea
Save me a bottle
If you get this message
Wait for me
You can just dream
My heart is racing and I feel so alone
My mind is pacing and it’s taken a toll
But they don’t know
They don’t know
They don’t know me
You can just dream
Go where you want to
I’ll come and meet you one day
Wait by the sea
Save me a bottle
If you get this message
Wait for me
You can just dream
Go where you want to
I’ll come and meet you one day
Wait by the sea
Save me a bottle
If you get this message
Wait for me
You can just dream
You can just dream
I just started listening to this album today and am IN LOVE! Every track is perfect.
I'm slightly sad I didn't start listening to boygenius until but happy to be a fan of their music <3 lissie_a
